CHA is over and it was a blast. I had to exercise so much restraint. I am already onboard for next year. Here are some more pics:
1) Me with the ribbon cutting ceremonial scissors
2) The new Tim Holtz Sizzix Machine
3) The secret Cicle Members only box. Inside were binders on a table that featured cuts from carts to come. They were not allowed to take pics or film video. One of the PC staff told me that someone actually walked away with some of the pages from another binder. That binder had all the cutouts from the 4 carts that were just released.
4) The new Cuttlebug Machine. It's a slighty different shade of green and the handle tucks in. I want one. It's not in the stores yet and one of the Employees wasn't sure if it will be an HSN exclusive or not.
Oh yes, I did win a $100 Gift Card from one of the vendors there. That was very exciting and help to soften the blow of not winning a cricut cake. I decided this weekend that I probably really want one. I haven't decorated cakes in a long time but that is what I need to get it started again. LOL!!

CHA Updates: Products
Several new CB folders are coming that match the carts. We've seen a few of these before but I'll list all that I saw: Freshly Picked, From My Kitchen, Sentimentals, Wall Decor & More, Mini Monsters, Robotz, Heritage, Create a critter, Cindy Loo, and Preserves. It's 4 embossing folders and they are priced at $17.99.
Here are some folders that emboss and cut a frame out in the center:
I mentioned that I was getting a whole new appreciation for cards. We stopped at a booth called Sparkle and Sprinkle. Besides the stamp sets, everything they sold did just that. Lots of glitters and embossing powders and glitter pens, etc. I took a pic of some sample cards they had on display. Just beautiful.

The Road Trip is winding down. I have finally made it to Chicago for the Craft Hobby Association (CHA). I am excited and looking forward to tomorrow. I know it's going to be busy and people everywhere, but I cannot wait to see what's new and what I can buy! I will be reporting back for duty tomorrow afternoon. Stay Tuned....

TAGS, BAGS, BOXES, & MORE!!!
Our challenge this week at Platinum Scraps was to create anything from Cricut Cartridge: Tags, Bags, Boxes, & More. Please visit the above link to see what the other designers created.
I love cake boxes. How beautiful they look when stacked like a cake. They can by used for any occasion. I chose a baby shower. Let me know what you think.

Brown Butterfly
We are back from vacation and boy have I missed having internet access. It was so hard and a struggle. By day 2, the withdrawal was tapering off. We spent some great time with family in Arkansas and was able to visit a friend in Mississippi. Oh yes, I stepped into Hobby Lobby for the first time and fell in love. That store is great and I found 3 albums that I need in multiples. My great friend Nicole of Creative Delights by Nicole offered to pick up some for me and send them once they go on sale.
While I was gone, I missed the deadline over at Platinum Scraps for this weeks Challenge. Please visit Platinum Scraps to see the different interpretations of the above sketch.
